The car has developed what I am given to understand is known in circles as a "judder". Rather than smoothly accelerating up to it's full 25 mph top speed it now lurches forth in a series of inelegant bunny hops. Attempts to drive out the ghost with bell book and candle (well, Haynes Manual, torch, and spanner) have failed although TL did get interestingly sweaty. We have consigned the car to the hands of the God of car fixing, also known as TL's brother Rob, who, in addition to working on other people's bodywork, has a particularly fine set of his own.
